Flights to and from Greece are expected to see major disruption on Wednesday (9 April) as air traffic controllers join another 24-hour general strike.
Members of unions across the country are due to walk out as part of a dispute over wages, collective bargaining agreements and the rising cost of living.
The Greek Air Traffic Controllers* Association said its members would only handle medical, search, rescue and humanitarian aid services, as well as military flights during the 24-hour strike period.
The country*s main airport, Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos, said in a statement that no flights will operate to or from the airport between 00.00 and 23.59 on 9 April.
Sister airlines Aegean and Olympic Air said it was offering passengers due to fly on 9 April ※the flexibility to change their tickets without any reissue fee and fare difference or cancel their booking and receive a credit voucher for future use§.
Greek unions held a similar one-day strike in February, which caused the cancellation of most flights in the country on that day.
