Next summer, TAP Air Portugal will add new service between
Montreal and Lisbon, operating six times per week on Airbus A321LR aircraft, as
part of its operations growth in North America. The carrier also will add service
between Boston and Ponta Delgada in the Azores five times per week on the same
aircraft type next summer, as well as its
previously announced service increases from New York, Miami, Chicago and
Washington, D.C. TAP's passenger volume on North America routes since 2015 has
grown 250 percent to about 1 million passengers, and the carrier projects the
new routes will add 390,000 travelers on those routes next year.
