Corporate Travel Management (CTM) has launched integrated
airline health and safety data into its proprietary online booking tool
Lightning, enabling customers globally to view carriers¡¯ Covid-19-related service
features alongside flight search results at the time of booking.
According to CTM, its customer research shows access to
health and safety insights, or reassurance data, will be key to the resumption
of business travel activity as countries across Europe begin easing border
restrictions and negotiate ¡°travel bubbles¡± between nations with similar risk
profiles.
The airline data now integrated into Lightning is powered by
ATPCO¡¯s Routehappy Rich Content and incorporates Reassurance Universal Product
Attributes (UPAs) from more than 100 carriers, representing more than 70 per
cent of global flight schedules. This includes a number of European carriers
such as British Airways.
CTM said the data spans health and safety measures such as
airport and cabin cleaning, health screening, food and beverage hygiene,
passenger and crew wellbeing and flexible booking conditions.
Debbie Carling, CTM¡¯s UK/Europe CEO, said: ¡°CTM¡¯s customer
survey data highlights the negative impact that not travelling is having on our
customers¡¯ business performance. We have taken those insights and prioritised
the speedy delivery of Covid-19-related airline features into our online
booking technology to ensure our customers have access to the most up-to-date
information that supports safety and increases traveller confidence at the time
of booking, and therefore supports business recovery at the earliest
opportunity.¡±
