Following its transition earlier this year?to a modern retailing platform, the carrier said customers can now buy ready-bundled ancillaries ¡°easily and for a better price¡±.
The feature is currently available in ¡°limited European markets¡±, allowing customers to combine seat selection and wifi for a reduced price through the Finnair website.
The bundle is available on flights where full internet access is offered as an ancillary, according to the carrier, and will be ¡°gradually¡± introduced across all markets this autumn, with additional bundles including meals, priority services carry-on baggage, and lounge access planned for future rollout.
Ancillary bundles are currently only available via the Finnair website. The airline has not confirmed if the feature will be extended to additional NDC channels.
Finnair chief digital officer Antti Kleemola said: ¡°In the future, dynamic product bundling [will give] customers more control and choice. For an airline, this means an enhanced ability to personalise offers and improve the customer¡¯s purchase experience.¡±
Finnair¡¯s platform is built on Amadeus¡¯ Nevio system. Carriers such as?British Airways?and?Air France-KLM?have also partnered with Amadeus to provide the Offers and Orders solution.
