Air France-KLM and Qantas have extended an existing codeshare agreement, a move the carriers said will ¡°improve connectivity and enhance the travel experience¡± between Europe and Australia.

The airlines on Thursday (10 July) announced Air France will add its code to Qantas¡¯ non-stop service between Paris and Perth, which launched in July last year. Both Air France and KLM will also add their codes on Qantas flights between Singapore and Darwin.
The expanded agreement will also include ¡°improved¡± loyalty benefits for travellers, including the ability for Air France-KLM Flying Blue members to redeem miles for travel on Qantas first class, while those with ¡®ultimate¡¯ status will also gain access to Qantas' first class airport lounges.
For Qantas customers, the carriers said additional opportunities to earn and redeem loyalty points when flying with Air France and KLM are ¡°coming soon¡±.
Air France this month also established Tokyo Haneda Airport as a new connection point with Qantas flights to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Darwin and Perth. This is in addition to existing connection points at Singapore Changi Airport and Hong Kong International Airport.
