EasyJet's cabin crews in Spain are set to go on strike for three days, from 25 to 27 June, amid a wage dispute.
Spain¡¯s USO workers¡¯ union, which represents all sectors, said more than 650 flight attendants based in Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca, would participate in the action, according to media reports.
The USO union said the low-cost carrier¡¯s Spain-based crew earn significantly less than their European counterparts, with wages reportedly between 30 per cent and 200 per cent lower.?
"The workforce is asking for decent, fair and equitable working conditions in line with the European standards easyJet applies in other countries," the union said, according to a Catalan News report.
The UK-based carrier plans to operate normally during the labour action. As required by Spanish law, a minimum level of essential services will continue during the strike.
