Low-cost carrier Eurowings will introduce a new ¡®premium¡¯ business-class seat concept on medium-haul routes from November.
The new ¡®Premium BIZ¡¯ seat, by Italian manufacturer Geven, will feature adjustable backrests, an ergonomic design and ¡°significantly more comfort and privacy than is usual in today's medium-haul jets¡±, the carrier said in a statement.
The new seats will be configured in a 2x2 arrangement on the carrier¡¯s Airbus A320neo jets, and will debut on its Berlin-Dubai route this November. The Premium BIZ seat will be bookable from August.
The carrier, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, said the new seat concept is the first step in a ¡°comprehensive product and service campaign¡±, with plans to introduce ¡°further innovative offers¡± that will "significantly improve the travel experience for all passengers on short and medium-haul routes¡±.
