The move marks the continued partnership between the French flag carrier and the country¡¯s state-owned rail operator, with the aim of facilitating multi-modal travel and ¡°encouraging the use of low-carbon transport options¡±, the companies said.
The airline¡¯s loyalty members can convert miles into SNCF Voyageurs vouchers that can be used across the entire TGV InOui network, which includes cross-border services to Italy, Spain, Austria and Belgium.
Vouchers to the value of between €25 and €100 can be purchased using miles via the Flying Blue online store. Rail bookings using the vouchers can then be made ¡°via approved SNCF agencies¡± and via the rail operator¡¯s direct sales channels.
Air France and SNCF Voyageurs already offer a combined ¡®Train+Air¡¯ service that allows travellers to book rail and air tickets under a single reservation. The service is currently available on 41 routes to and from Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly airports.
