Swiss, which is owned by Lufthansa Group, launched its air-rail travel partnership with SBB in 2019 and is now adding the destinations of Chur, Davos, Klosters and St Moritz.
This takes the total number of air-rail destinations covered by the agreement up to 20. Earlier this year, Swiss and SBB added more connections from Geneva airport.
The two companies also announced that they would ¡°indefinitely extend¡± their partnership, which had initially been limited to five years.
Swiss and SBB added that they expected demand for air-rail services to increase by 15 per cent during 2024.
Heike Birlenbach, chief commercial officer at Swiss, added: ¡°This partnership enables us to offer our customers an overall travel experience that seamlessly combines the strengths of air and rail travel and, in doing so, sets new benchmarks in comfort and convenience terms.¡±
The four new routes in Graub¨¹nden are now bookable for travel starting from 2 October.
V¨¦ronique Stephan, SBB¡¯s head of passenger services markets, said: ¡°The open-ended continuation of our collaboration and the addition of these new connections to Chur, Davos, Klosters and St Moritz tellingly demonstrate how SBB and SWISS are jointly developing a broad range of viable travel solutions.¡±
