Advantage, which was ranked as the?third largest TMC network in Europe in 2024, posted a pre-tax net profit of ?1.3 million for 2023/24, marking a 12 per cent increase on the previous year and a new record for the group.
Total global revenue across?its?membership grew to ?17 billion, of which ?6.3 billion was generated from its global business travel division, while leisure travel contributed ?2.5 billion.
Additionally, ?8.8 billion was generated by UK-based members, representing a 16 per cent year-on-year increase.
Julia Lo Bue-Said, Advantage Travel Partnership CEO, said the group had delivered a strong balance sheet despite ¡°a business environment that continued to present economic challenges¡± and that membership to its Global Network has grown ¡°significantly¡±, now spanning 84 countries.
¡°As we navigate the evolving landscape of an interconnected global world, our global network partnerships have become even more crucial,¡± Lo Bue-Said expressed.
"While 2025 is proving to be a year of significant change, with economic and political conditions remaining somewhat unsettled globally, we are pleased to report that we continue to trade well across all our core business areas,¡± she added, echoing comments made at the consortium's annual conference held in Malta earlier this month regarding the Trump Administration's "brutal" tariff regime.
Leadership shake-up
In a separate announcement on Thursday (29 May), Advantage also outlined changes to its leadership structure.
Chief commercial officer Kelly Cookes, who joined the group in 2019, is set to leave the organisation and will reportedly join homeworking agency InteleTravel in September.
Advantage does not plan to appoint a new chief commercial officer, Lo Bue-Said stated. Since the promotion of John Sullivan to commercial director last July, he has assumed ¡°greater accountability for our overall commercial partnerships, including the commercial requirements of our global business travel division,¡± she explained.
¡°In recent months we have strengthened our leadership team with not only John Sullivan's promotion but also the promotion of David Forder to marketing director and Lee Ainsworth to director of strategy. These promotions demonstrate that we are continually evolving our structure to ensure that we have the required leadership skills and experience in place to achieve our ambitious growth strategy and deliver even greater value to our key stakeholders,¡± Lo Bue-Said added.
The consortium also announced the promotion of Nick Rowe to finance director, from 1 July. Rowe has been with the group since 2023.
