The deal, which was completed in August, gives Germany-based Dertour Group ownership of four business units including Hotelplan Business Travel, which comprises two TMC brands: corporate travel and events specialist Finass Reisen and bta first, which focuses on the SME segment.
According to the HotelPlan website, Finass Reisen and bta first generated a combined revenue of CHF 147.7 million (approx. €158 million) in 2024 and together employed more than 90 people across eight offices in Switzerland.
A Dertour Group spokesperson told BTN Europe that all employees and locations will now become part of Dertour Suisse, but will continue to operate under the existing Finass Reisen and bta first brands.
DER Business Travel is the seventh largest travel management company in Germany, according to BTN Europe¡¯s Leading TMCs 2025 report, after generating an estimated €173 million in gross sales last year.
The German TMC had been acquired by American Express Global Business Travel in 2019. As part of that deal the DER Business Travel brand was ¡°reactivated¡± by Dertour in 2023 with a new team and client base, a spokesperson said.
