Thomson, formally the director of immigration technology specialist Nomadic, is now the co-managing partner of Visas2 alongside Faisal Syed, founder and managing director of Visa Group.
With offices in London and Aberdeen, the newly-formed company offers a ¡°tech-enabled¡± service model with real-time application tracking and API integrations to support corporates and travel management companies navigate immigration compliance via a network of more than 80 global partners.
¡°This strategic acquisition provided the ideal foundation for launching Visas2,¡± Thompson said. ¡°It gives us access to experienced staff and an established presence in key markets.¡±
Thomson will oversee systems integration and aligning services with client operations, with a focus on the energy, marine, finance and consulting services sectors. He said the market response to the company's launch ¡°has been outstanding¡±.
Syed, meanwhile, will lead service delivery and client relationships.
Global demand for immigration and visa services is expected to exceed ?30 billion by 2032, according to the company. While the initial focus of Visas2 is on "organic expansion", further strategic acquisitions ¡°have not been ruled out¡±, the company said.
