Sabre has confirmed the appointment of Jennifer Catto as its executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
Catto joined the travel tech company in February after more than four years in the same role with rival Travelport.
Her move to Sabre had been overshadowed by a lawsuit brought against her by Travelport, which claimed Catto violated a non-compete agreement and misappropriated confidential information in her ※immediate§ move to Sabre, as reported by BTN Europe stablemate The Beat?(subscription needed).
However, the two parties moved to dismiss?the?litigation last month after reaching a confidential settlement.
As well as Travelport, Catto has held key marketing positions at Travelocity, Cond谷 Nast and Telaria. ?
Sabre CEO and president Kurt Ekert said: ※Jennifer*s appointment demonstrates our commitment to bold, strategic leadership as we accelerate Sabre*s evolution into the premier technology platform for travel.
※She combines creativity, operational discipline, and deep expertise in digital transformation 每 an increasingly rare mix. With Jennifer at the helm of marketing, we will elevate Sabre*s brand, strengthen ties with customers and partners, and sharpen our competitive edge in the market,§ he added.
