The move will allow hotel personnel to confirm for travellers booking through Conferma's platform the authorised use of a virtual card number within the PMS itself while avoiding the need to use?email or a fax machine?to do so, long a hurdle to virtual card acceptance for hotel payment.?
The rollout will begin this month, with completion planned by the end of the second quarter, a Hilton spokesperson told BTN.
"This partnership sets a new precedent for the industry, freeing more business travellers from time-consuming admin, while hoteliers focus on the business traveller experience," Conferma CEO Jason Lalor said in a statement.
The Hilton spokesperson said the agreement applied to the "thousands of Hilton properties globally" that use the company's Property Engagement Platform 每 ※PEP" 每 or OnQ property management systems.
