An order is a single record of everything a traveller has purchased for a trip, providing a ¡®real-time¡¯ and consolidated view of all services, which the carrier said will pave the way for ¡°tailor-made pricing and fully digital servicing¡±.
The airline, which first announced plans?to use the Amadeus Nevio platform in 2023 to offer ¡°more personalised¡± products to customers, said the platform¡¯s ¡®smart bridging capabilities¡¯ can translate traditional passenger name records (PNRs) from its existing Amadeus Alt¨¦a Passenger Service System into single order records in the new Nevio environment.
Arved von zur Muehlen, chief commercial officer at Saudia, said: ¡°Moving to single Orders means we can gain a better understanding of our guests, [and] what they¡¯ve purchased from us and our partners, across the entire journey. Orders are the foundation for a more connected travel experience.¡±
The move follows Nordic carrier Finnair¡¯s launch in May of an ¡®Offers and Orders¡¯ platform, also in partnership with Amadeus.
Saudia and Amadeus said they are working together to ensure the airline ¡°maximises the potential of the transformation to new retailing concepts and technology¡±.
