What's the biggest challenge facing you currently as a corporate travel manager?
Navigating a fragmented ecosystem 每 marked by disparate content and retail disruption 每 is one of today*s biggest challenges for a travel manager. The corporate travel landscape is evolving rapidly, layering new levels of complexity. NDC adoption remains inconsistent, while AI is unlocking powerful tools that reshape how we manage programmes and support travellers.
The real question is: how do we keep pace with innovation while preserving programme consistency and, above all, safeguarding traveller wellbeing? I like to remind myself that there are no ready-made answers. Complexity is part of our reality 每 and it*s what sharpens our thinking and strengthens our critical sense.
What one thing could your travel management company do to make your life easier?
Listen more actively and translate that into customised support.
What I value most is a TMC that truly listens 每 not just during on-boarding, but as an ongoing practice. One that understands the specific pressures of the pharmaceutical sector, where timing, compliance and traveller safety are top priorities.
Proactivity means valuing real partnership 每 acting as true advisors, anticipating customer needs, and offering solutions that are both flexible and adaptable.

What*s the biggest barrier to introducing policy considerations
for minority travelling groups, such as solo women, neurodivergent
people and members of the LGBTQ+ community?
One of the key challenges is the lack of structured awareness and practical frameworks. Until data consistency, professional training and clear policy guidelines are in place, inclusive travel programmes will continue to face limitations.
Travel managers need better visibility into traveller profiles, supplier inclusivity standards, and group-specific risk factors. Once again, active listening is key to treating inclusive practices not merely as policy appendices, but as fundamental components of our travel programmes.
Why is Business Travel Show Europe such a key date in your schedule?
Because it*s a unique hub to learn, connect and be inspired by travel industry peers and experts. Simply put, it*s the right place to be if you want to be truly heard, discover innovative solutions, and build relationships that make a real impact on our everyday work.
