Amex GBT had total European sales of €10.21 billion in 2024, which put it around €3.8 billion ahead of second placed BCD Travel (€6.41 billion in sales last year).
In third place comes CWT with €4 billion in sales ¨C the TMC is to set to be acquired by Amex GBT if the deal secures clearance in the US later this year.
Rounding out the top five TMCs in Europe are fourth placed FCM Travel (€3.1 billion in European sales) and Navan Group in fifth (€2.82 billion).
The Leading TMCs report is now in its 29th year and as well as listing the continent¡¯s 50 largest TMCs, there are rundowns of the leading business travel agencies in Benelux,?France, Germany, Italy, the Nordics, Spain and the UK.
The report also includes profiles of more than 130 organisations, as well the findings of a survey into TMCs¡¯ hopes and expectations for the year ahead.

The release of the report comes two days before Business Travel Show Europe in London is held on 25-26 June at the ExCeL exhibition centre.
Research conducted for the show illustrates that not all corporates are impressed with their current TMCs, with 32 per cent of buyers unhappy with their incumbent business travel agency and 15 per cent planning to change TMCs this year.
Although 59 per cent of buyers said they were happy with their TMC, while 52 per cent said they were worried that consolidation within the sector would reduce competition and be bad for buyers.
