Ivano Barzago has joined the company as group chief financial officer, replacing Valeria Vaghi who has been promoted to the newly created role of operations vice president.
Meanwhile, Francesca Noventa has been appointed as group HR director, and Mattia Tieghi joins the company as chief information officer and chief facilities officer. Based in Bologna, Tieghi has been tasked with ¡°optimising¡± digital processes, information systems and logistics management, which the TMC said are ¡°central¡± to its growth strategy.
"With this new configuration we are strengthening the foundations to face the next phase of corporate evolution with enthusiasm,¡± said Gattinoni Group president Franco Gattinoni, who is also interim CEO of the group¡¯s business travel division following the recent departure of former executive Piergiulio Donzelli after less than a year in the top job.
Gattinoni Business Travel?is the sixth largest travel management company in Italy, according to BTN Europe¡¯s newly published Leading TMCs 2025 report.
The wider Gattinoni Group, which also includes leisure travel and events divisions, has hired 63 new staff members in the last two years, amounting to a total of 900 personnel, according to the company.
More than 80 per cent of Gattinoni staff are women, while leadership positions are equally divided between men and women and 20 per cent of staff are aged between 25 and 35, the company said.
¡°[This] reflects the desire to invest in new energies, skills and generational visions, integrating them with the consolidated experience of the team, to face the challenges of the constantly evolving market with enthusiasm and ability to adapt,¡± the company said.
