Gray Dawes Group CEO Suzanne Horner?has resigned from her role as chair of the Business Travel Association¡¯s board.
Horner, who has been the BTA¡¯s chair since 2019, said she wanted to ¡°fully concentrate my considerable efforts¡± on the continued global expansion of Gray Dawes.
Mervyn Williamson, who is director of Corporate Travel Management UK and currently the BTA¡¯s treasurer, will step in as the association¡¯s interim chair until September 2025 while the BTA ¡°undergoes a formal process¡± to appoint a new chair.
¡°Suzanne has been an exceptional leader and dedicated advocate for the business travel sector throughout her nearly six-year tenure,¡± said the BTA¡¯s board in a statement.
¡°We extend our sincerest thanks for her unwavering support during her time as BTA chair and wish her and all at Gray Dawes Travel the best in their future endeavours.¡±
Horner described her time as the first female chair of the BTA as being ¡°both an honour and a privilege¡±.
¡°I am extremely proud of how the board and I have driven?an inclusive and diverse environment for all, and I am confident that the BTA will continue strongly going forward,¡± she added.
¡°With the continued growth of Gray Dawes Travel I have chosen to fully concentrate my considerable efforts on the company.¡±
