IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to expand its London portfolio following the signing of a dual-branded hotel complex in Waterloo.

The complex will house the 182-room voco London 每 Waterloo along with the 172-room Hotel Indigo & Suites London 每 Waterloo, both of which are expected to open in late 2028. The latter will also be the first Hotel Indigo & Suites property in Europe, according to the company.
Shared amenities across the two properties include restaurants, bars and caf谷s, a gym and a business centre.
The announcement comes after an agreement with property developer and investment group, Palm Holdings, which also owns the Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh, which is expected to open at the end of June following renovation works. ?
IHG vice president, development in Europe, Willemijn Geels, said: ※We are thrilled to be strengthening our partnership with Palm Holdings through the development of this remarkable dual-branded property.§
Palm Holdings managing director Ricky Kapoor said sustainability will be ※at the forefront§ of the development, which aims to achieve an ※excellent§ rating from sustainable building certification body BREEAM. He added that the use of air source heat pumps and solar panels will ※ensure no fossil fuels are combusted on-site and operations are backed by renewable energy.§
IHG currently operates 363 hotels across the UK and Ireland, with an additional 33 in the pipeline.
