The company expects the first Garner expected to open in the US by the end of 2023, with plans to "expand globally." Garner lifts IHG's portfolio to a total of 19 brands.
IHG this month?teased the impending launch?of a midscale brand during an earnings call. On the call, IHG executives said the brand had potential for "considerable scale."?
The hotel company expects Garner will have a portfolio of 500 hotels in the next 10 years and will double over the next 20 years.
The new brand adds IHG to a growing list of hotel companies planning brand launches within the midscale market this year, including Accor,?Marriott International and?Hyatt Hotels Corp.
