Travelport has signed new distribution deals with both Air India and EVA Air including forthcoming NDC content and services.
The travel technology company¡¯s extended and expanded agreement with Air India is ¡°in conjunction¡± with its local partner InterGlobe Technology Quotient (ITQ), which is the sole distributor of Travelport¡¯s services in India. It will include the ¡°future delivery of a complete NDC solution¡±.
Nipun Aggarwal, chief commercial and transformation officer at Air India, said: ¡°Our valued partnership with Travelport is an important part of our growth and technology strategy as we prepare to deliver a complete solution that makes it easy for agents to access and service Air India¡¯s content and offers.¡±?
Travelport¡¯s renewed distribution deal with Eva Air also includes the Taiwan-based carrier¡¯s future NDC content and services, which the companies said in a statement would ¡°deepen¡± their collaboration.
Eric Chiu, vice president of digital and information planning at EVA Air, said:?¡°By continuing our successful collaboration with Travelport, we can further expand our global reach and provide our customers with more convenient and personalised travel experiences.¡±
In a separate development, Air India has also extended its partnership with another travel tech firm Amadeus. This will include?local domestic content for travel sellers in India?as well as integrating the airline¡¯s NDC content into the Amadeus Travel Platform, which will be made available to travel firms in 2024.
